Current Projects
Center Junction: The city of Center Junction (Jones County) is preparing for a public wastewater system. Currently, this project is in the design phase. It is anticipated that bids will be received for the construction project in the fall of 2006. The project is being funded with a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) and a grant and loan from the USDA Rural Development. Currently the community is being served by private septic systems.
Petersburg: In 2005, a preliminary engineering report was completed for the community of Petersburg (Delaware County) for a public wastewater system. Currently the community is being served by private septic systems. EIRUSS is seeking funding for the project.
Leisure Lake: In 2005, a preliminary engineering report was completed for the community of Leisure Lake (Jackson County) for a public wastewater system. Currently the community is being served by private septic systems. EIRUSS is seeking funding for the project.
Elvira: In 2006, a preliminary engineering report is being prepared for the community of Elvira (Clinton County) for a public wastewater system. Currently the community is being served by private septic systems. EIRUSS will seek funding upon receipt and approval of the preliminary engineering report.
Fairview: EIRUSS is awaiting an updated preliminary engineering report for a proposed public wastewater system for the community of Fairview (Jones County). Currently a portion of the community is being served by private septic systems with a mobile home court being served by a single cell lagoon wastewater system. EIRUSS will seek funding upon receipt and approval of the preliminary engineering report.
Andover: The city of Andover (Clinton County) is preparing for a public water system. The project is in the design phase and it is anticipated that construction bids will be received in the winter of 2006-07. The project is being funded with a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) and a grant and loan from the USDA Rural Development. The City is currently served by private wells.
